The Episcopal Church recognizes the Sacraments as outward and visible signs of inward and spiritual grace. Through these Sacraments, God sustains the life of the Church, offers love and gives us strength to fulfill God’s plan.
The two Sacraments of the Gospel include Baptism and the Holy Eucharist, which were instituted and ordained by Christ himself. These are essential for every Christian’s salvation. The five “lesser sacraments” are neither directly commanded by Christ nor essential to salvation, and are not applicable to everyone. These include confirmation, penance, matrimony, ordination and unction of the sick.
Christ Church celebrates the sacraments with its parishioners throughout the year. We hold special services for baptism, confirmation, weddings and funerals. Those interested in these services should contact the church office to make arrangements.
